I'm Mike Meiners, a singer-songwriter in Chicago, Illinois.
I've been a music writer since I was a teenager. From the time I started, I've been imagining myself succeeding. In fact, I always imagine myself succeeding.
I lay half awake in my bed every morning playing vivid scenes of a future where I'm releasing songs to the world. For decades, I've run these loops. Me in the studio. Me on stage at a local venue. Me hearing my song playing over the speakers in some clothing store. Me on a stadium stage. Who knows if these things will ever actually happen, but that's not as important as this: What I know for sure is that NOTHING will happen if I just keep imagining.
I’ve imagined long enough. It's time to get out of the daydream and choose the reality. The unpredictable, uncomfortable, inscrutable, harsh, eye-opening, frustrating, rewarding reality.
And I want you to be a part of it.
